Introducing Local Children’s Boutique Little Choux

Great news, NoVA parents. Alexandria-based mom Anne Marie Hauer has launched an incredibly charming online boutique, Little Choux — an informal term of endearment meaning “little darlings” in French — specializing in toys, home decor and wearable accessories for children ages 1-6.
Hauer, who tells me she would love to open a brick-and-mortar boutique in Old Town someday, says of her online shop, “Many products are handmade, but all are handpicked from more than 60 designer collections around the world. I strive to find unique, high-quality, colorful and fun products that I know my own children will love.”
When Anne Marie was a little girl, her “Nana” lovingly called her “Chou Chou.” As she explains on the store site, “For me, the name came to symbolize the essence of childhood — a time of nurturing, growing and establishing strong roots. When I became a mother of two, I found myself continuously searching the Internet for new and inspiring products — products that would cultivate a unique and memorable childhood for my own children. I decided to create one place where I could share these exciting finds with others … and so Little Choux was born.”
